Blog ps4 vs. xbox One

May seem a strange idea to do a blog about this topic, but it just works out for me because of my limited amount of time. To start it off, here is a interesting graph of the differences in performance.

You can easily see the difference. Is it going to change the gameplay? Depends how you use it. Splitscreen users(where multiple people play on one console at a time) could notice the ps4 running more smoothly. Also, ps4 has a noticable advantage in terms of graphical performance, but thats it in terms of console. What could the new controller bring us?

It may seem easy to choose with only 2 controllers to choose from, but they differ in gamer's tastes. Casual gamers wil probably prefer the xbox one controller, while hardcore gamers like me would prefer the ps4 controller. Why? Because it has a share button to share your experiences quickly with friends, and with such a great grip and durable materials it wil last a lot of smashes against your screen. It has also greatly improved compared to the previous model. The controller has nice small additions such as a touch pad, and the grip has greatly been improved. However, the controller is quite expensive with its 65 euro price tag.

The controller comes with the ps4 bundels for at least 400 euro, or separtly for 65 euro each. They are currently availeble in black, red, blue, and some other special game camos.

Today, I am going to write about the startup menu interface.
Today, I am going to write about the startup menu interface.
Compare the xbox one menu on the left with the ps4 menu on the right. This would be a matter of taste again, as your decision won't improve your experience. However, I prefer the ps4 menu because of the efficient layout of the features more hardcore gamers use. You can quickly watch trophies you and you friends earned, and quickly look up other information of an app or game without looking too much further. It is easy to log on and off, and everything you will not need for a long time can be placed in the library. A huge downpoint is the port system, which could disallow randomised matchmaking. Also, it is very hard to understand the master-and-sub account concept. I will give you a nice hint. NEVER buy a playstation subscription for a sub account, as you will be unable to download most of the monthly free mature games.

Each console has some games worth looking at, such as Driveclub on the ps4, Forza Motorsport 5 on the xbox, Infamous Second Sun on the ps4, Titanfall on the xbox and so on. I personally do not have a recommendation for one of those lists. You should watch some trailers and research some titles to decide for yourself. For the smaller gamers among us, I would recommend the xbox one as it has Kinect Sports on the list.
Games are made exclusive for a single console to make people buy that specific console. It is made possible by writing up a contract with a developer, or, even better, some companies take over developer teams and direct them themselves.
